The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their list of things to do. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It is smaller than other options which makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys or books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't create as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely to mop, you will need to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively rapid.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.
Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it will make, which will determine the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device is expensive but has many smart features. However, it's important to remember that it carries regular expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three months.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. These include a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with little effort.
robot vacuum cleaner amazon is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with an elastomer pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to create a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able capture some of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few lovely jingles to let you know when it was about to start or finishing its work.
The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it has some distinct features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock which doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.
The base comes with a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its application.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
