The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers can be ideal for those looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. Some models have superior mapping and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. remote hoover than the other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.
It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely for mopping you must be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively rapid.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching a wide range of surface areas. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device has a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. However, it's important to remember that it carries regular expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and wash and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to protect specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair from pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some pleasant jingles to inform you that it was in the process of working towards its goal.
The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base comes with a few control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its application.
Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxes.
