If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.
It's fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its app.
Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy models.
